1868.] OF THE SENATE. 461. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. The following message was received from the House of Delegates and read: BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, March 13th, 1868. To the Honorable the Senate of Maryland : GENTLEMEN:—We have received your message to return House bill regulating the appointment of additional Consta- bles, &c., for Baltimore city, and respectfully concur therein, and herewith return the same. By order, M. Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. On motion by Mr. Snyder, The vote by which the bill therein mentioned was passed, Was reconsidered, and His amendment to said bill was, by consent of the Senate, withdrawn, And the following amendments offered by him : Amend 1st section 15th line, by striking out the word "one," and inserting in lieu thereof the word "two," Which was adopted. Amend 1st section, line 23, by striking out the word "one," and inserting in lieu thereof, the word "two." Which was adopted. Amend 1st section) line 26, by striking out the word "one," and inserting in lieu thereof, the word "two." Which was adopted. The bill as amended, was then passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
