Which was adopted.

Mr. Montague submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the members of the late State Convention
visiting Annapolis, have the privilege of the floor ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Riggs submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims inquire of the
Librarian the amount of stationery on hand at the close of
the last Constitutional Convention, and what disposition has
been made of it;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
order :

Ordered, That a Special Committee of five be appointed
to inquire into the condition of the Land Records of Balti-
more city, and to report what legislation, if any, is necessary
to their preservation ;

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Bond of Baltimore city,
Morse, Latrobe, Wentz and McElroy, constituted said com-
mittee.

The Speaker appointed the following committee on so
much of the Governor's Message as relates to Oysters and
the Oyster Trade :

Messrs. Legg, Bond, of Calvert, Lowe, Johnson, Hop-
kins, Holloway, Deale, Wentz, Boyer, Chapman, Coad, Guy,
Richards, Brown, Corbin and Moore,

Under the order submitted by Mr. Legg on Friday last.

Mr. Jones submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee on Education be instructed
to inquire what, if any, means are necessary to be provided
for continuing in efficient operation the present Public
School system until such time as the Legislature shall give
effect to the provisions contained in Article 8, Section 1, of
the Constitution of Maryland, and into the expediency of
providing such means, and that the committee report to this
House forthwith by bill or otherwise ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed by the
Speaker to inquire as to the expense that will be entailed upon
the State by furnishing each member of the House with, a
copy of the Code and its Supplements ;

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Wentz, Bowlus and
Slingluff, constituted said committee.

The Speaker announced the following Standing Com-
mittees :

Committee on Elections.—Messrs. Legg, Morse, Holmes,
