1868.] OF THE SENATE. 381 rate the Baltimore and Havana Steam Ship Company, pass- ed at January session 1866, chapter 54, Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 170, 171 and 172, of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Allegany- county, and to re-enact the same with amendments, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Kimmel, Biggs, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Carroll, Miller, Denson, Malone, Earle, Parker, of Calvert, Fields, Spates, Henkle, Snyder, Hyland, Walsh, Hammond, Welch—20. NEGATIVE—None. The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Article 45, of the Code of Public General Laws relating to Usury, and to re-enact the same with amendments, Being the order of the day, was taken up on its second reading. On motion by Mr. Carroll, The consideration ufthe bill was postponed, and made the order of the day for Thursday, the 12th inst. On motion by Mr. Denson, The vote by which House bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the State Librarian to subscribe for a sufficient number of Simon J. Martenet's Map of Maryland, to supply each Public School in the State therewith, Was rejected, Was reconsidered, and, On motion by Mr. Malone, Was ordered to lie on the table. Senate bill entitled an Act to grant to Joseph Walker, late Sheriff of Baltimore county, two years to complete his col- lections as Sheriff of said county, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. |
