Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the Gen- eral Assembly of Maryland to a legacy bequeathed by the last will and testament of Lydia Styer, late of Allegany county, deceased, to the English Lutheran Church, of Frost- burg. Which was read the second time. Also, reported, Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 30, Article 47, of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time. Mr. Hammond, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the catching of fish in nets by driving into the same by thrashing on the water with poles or other instruments. Which was read the first time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the completion of the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road. Which was read the first time. Messrs. Earle, Maddox and Kimmel, of the Committee on Education, were excused by the Senate, in order to attend to Committee duties. On motion by Mr. Snyder, The vote by which Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1st and 2d of the Act of Assembly of 1862, chapter 234, entitled an Act to amend an Act to provide for the erection of a hospital for the insane of this State, and sec- tions 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th of the Act of Assembly of 1864, chapter 248, entitled an Act for the government of the In- sane Asylum, and to regulate admissions thereto, and to enact the following sections in lieu thereof, Was passed, Was reconsidered.
