the Eastern Branch, Bladenshurg, leading to Washington.

Mr. Silver, Chairman of select committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled an Act for the relief of William S. Bow-
man.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Beck, Chairman of select committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the
Comptroller and Treasurer to estimate the bonds of Kent
county that may be issued by the County Commissioners of
said county, to pay for stock subscribed in the Kent County
Rail Road Company, at the average price at which they may
be sold, as cash paid towards the construction of the Kent
County Rail Road.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Herbert, from select committee, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 6 of the Act
passed December session, 1847, entitled an Act to incorpor-
ate a company in the town of Hagerstown, in Washington
county, to be styled the " Hagerstown Lyceum."

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Fooks, Chairman select committee, reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act providing for the issue of
execution on judgments in Somerset and Worcester counties,
against persons residing in Wicomico county.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Holloway, Chairman select committee, reported fa-
vorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 32d section
of Article 32 of the Public Local Laws, title Worcester
county, regulating the terms of Court for said county, and to
re-enact the same with amendments,

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Bowlus, Chairman select committee, reported the fol-
lowing substitute for the bill which was yesterday recom-
mitted to said committee:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor, Aldermen
and Common Council of Frederick to subscribe to the capital
stock of the Frederick and Pennsylvania Line Railroad Com-
pany, and to endorse the bonds of said company.

The substitute was adopted.
