308 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 27,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and
Pikesville Rail Road Company of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also, returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to add new sections to Article
16 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Chancery,"
under sub-title "Infants," relating to the sales of the real
estate of infants,

Endorsed, " Reported unfavorably from the Committee on
the Judiciary, and the report adopted."

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to authorize the Atlantic and George's Creek
Coal Company of Baltimore, to reduce its capital stock, and
to levy an assessment upon its said reduced number of shares.

And to introduce a bill entitled a further supplement to
an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Cuba Smelting Com-
pany, passed at December session, 1845.

On motion by Mr. Browne,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Bachman Valley Rail Road
Company.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled a supplementary Act to an
Act to incorporate the town of Lutherville, in Baltimore
county, passed at the January session of the General Assem-
bly of 1868.

On motion by Mr. Hyland,

Leave of absence for one day was granted Senator Parker,
of Calvert.
On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted Messrs. Maddox, Welch, and Earle, to
introduce a bill to extend district No. 3, of St. Mary's county,
so as to include Blakiston's Island.

On motion by Mr. Maddox, it was

Ordered that an additional 1000 copies of the report of the
Committee on Internal Improvements be printed for the use
of the Senate.

Mr. Hyland, from the Committee on Corporations, report-
ed favorably
