of the State ; the average expense of each scholar for tuition
therein ; the average expense of each scholar connected as a
boarder therewith, and such statistics in reference to the
subject of these inquiries as he may be able to present to this
House by February 5th, 1868.

Which, on motion of Mr. Wentz,

Was laid on the table.

Mr. Slingluff submitted the following order :

Ordered, That each member of the Committee on Educa-
tion, Judiciary and Ways and Means, be furnished with a
copy of the Code and the volume of Supplements, edited by
Lewis Mayor, Esq., and just published by John Murphy &
Co., to be returned to the State Library at the end of the
session.

Which was read.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, moved to strike out the
words " of the Committee on Education, Judiciary an 1 Ways
and Means."

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, moved to lay the order on
the table.

Mr. McElroy demanded the yeas and nays.
