WEDNESDAY, January 29, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Cronin.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Guy, Williams, Sudler, Legg, Holloway, Smith, of Worces-
ter, Albaugh, Dutrow, Wenner, Bowlus, Byers, Silver,
Nelson, Brown, Hubbard, Sanner, Wentz, Morse, Blake,
Latrobe, Pentland, Smith, of Baltimore city, Bond, of Bal-
timore city, Colton, Mullin, McElroy, Hang, Markland,
Marshall, Conway, Syester, Coudy, Herbert, Rohrer, Sei-
bert, Offutt, Conley, McCulloh, Kean, Devecmon, Trimble,
Hall, Davis, of Carroll, Jordan, Worthington, Harden,

The Chair laid before the House the following reply of
the Comptroller, to an order of the House :

Speaker of the House of Delegates :

SIR—In reply to an order adopted by the House on the 23d
instant, I have the honor to furnish you herewith a list of
the several Institutions which are now beneficiaries of this
State, with the sums annually appropriated to each, together
with the aggregate annual donations to colleges, academies
and schools, and without including the Maryland Peniten-
tiary, to-wit:

To the

Indigent Blind, from the distribution of

the surplus

Indigent Deaf and Dumb,
