Mr. Markland, chairman of the Committee on Public
Buildings, (the rules being suspended) reported favorably a
bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to repair
and paint the State House and improve the grounds sur-
rounding it.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 9, 11,
19 and 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Wash-
ington county, sub-title Almshouse, and to re-enact the same
with amendments,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :
