On motion by Mr. Spates,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to authorize the Mayor and Councilmen of
the City of Cumberland, to purchase in the limits of said
city, not exceeding thirty-three acres of land, to be conveyed
to the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company, for the pur-
pose of erecting thereon a rolling mill and other improve-
ments.

Mr. Smith, from the Committee on Contingent Expenses,
reported favorably

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section first of the Act
passed March 23, 1867, chapter 187, entitled an Act to limit
the amount of stationery furnished to members and officers
of the General Assembly, and to provide a system of com-
mutation, and re-enact in lieu of section first so repealed
the following.

reported Senate bill entitled an Act to add additional sec-
tions to Article 53 of the Code of Public General Laws of
the State of Maryland, entitled "Landlord and Tenant,"
to follow section 21.

Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws for Worcester
