legany county, the one leading from Oakland to Accident,
and one from Accident to the national road, west of Grant-
ville, the other from a point on said road near McHenry's
Gate to Selbysport in said county, and to authorize the
County Commissioners of said county to make levies for the
repairs and improvements of the same.
Which was read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably House bill entitled an Act for the relief of William S.
Bowman.

Which was read a second time.
On motion by Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Senator
Miller is detained from his seat by sickness.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2, 3, 4 and
5 of Article 45 of the Code of Public General Laws relating
to usury, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was considered, and,

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

Was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Henkle, from the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Cambridge Harbor Internal Navigation and Wharf Com-
pany.

Which was read the first time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment
of a Measurer of Charcoal for Baltimore city from the State
at large,

Was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate hill entitled an Act to incorporate Chester Lodge
No. 115 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons,

Was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the North Branch
Lumber and Boom Company,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :
