On motion of Mr, Corbin,

Leave was granted to the Somerset and Worcester county
delegations to introduce a bill to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Somerset and Worcester counties, to establish
a ferry at Rehoboth in Somerset county.

Also, leave was granted to the Committee on Expiring
Laws to introduce a bill to continue in force the Act of 1865,
chapter 79, relating to fees of Justices of the Peace,

On motion of Mr. Richards,

Leave was granted to the Cecil county delegation to report
a bill to increase the per dieni of witnesses in Cecil county.

On motion of Mr. Richards,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to make it lawful for a Constable to leave a sum-
mons at the residence of a married man or at the known resi-
dence of a single man in place of a warrant.

On motion of Mr. Touchstone,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments to introduce a bill to empower and direct the State's
Attorney for Cecil county, to institute proceedings looking to
the forfeiture of the Charter of the Proprietors of the Susque-
hanna Canal.

On motion of Mr. Weriner,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to
report a hill 'to amend the Charter of the Burkettsviile
Female Seminary and to add additional sections thereto.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, (the rules being suspended,) pre-
sented the petition of 93 citizens of Coston's district in Wor-
cester county, praying that no part of the State appropriation
of $35,000, remaining to the credit of the county, for internal
improvements in Worcester county, he diverted from the
Worcester Railroad, to assist in the construction of any orher
road.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Also, the petition of 52 citizens of Coston's district in
Worcester county, praying the passage of an Act to divide
said district.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Smith, of Wor-
cester. Hollo way and Corbin.

The House then resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of Friday last, being:
