mittee on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Washington county to purchase the field notes,
books and records of surveys heretofore made within the
limits of said county, and to levy such tax as may be neces-
sary to defray the expenses of such purchase.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to make valid the levy of the
State tax made by the County Commissioners of Allegany
county for the year 1867.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings,

Also,

House hill entitled an Act to repeal section 69 of Article
1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Allegany
County," sub-title " Fences." and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the 39th section of
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Mont-
gomery County," relating to the number of Justices of the
Peace and Constables, and re-enacting the same so as to read
as follows :

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also.

House hill entitled an Act to provide for the repayment
out of the storage and outage on tobacco of moneys hereto-
fore demanded and received by the Inspectors of Tobacco, in
violation of the Acts of 1864, chapter 346, and 1865, chap-
ter 194, and to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 148, in rela-
tion to that subject.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
the Code of Public General Laws, Article 69, entitled
