Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported un-
favorably the claim of Edward A. Marshall, of Dorchester
county, against the State of Maryland,

And the report was concurred in.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tions 1, 2, 3, 9, 11 and 19 of Article 21 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws entitled Washington county, sub-title "Alms
House," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5 of
Article 60 of Public General Laws entitled Marriages, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and,

On motion by Mr. Kimmel,
The rules were suspended by the following vote:

AFFIRMATIVE.

And the bill read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Snyder, it was

Ordered, That one hundred and fifty copies of the final
report of the Commissioners appointed to prepare drafts of
General Laws relating to Corporations and other purposes,
be printed in pamphlet form, with a fly-leaf3 and that fifty
copies of the same be printed in bill form, for the use of the
Senate.

Mr. Browne presented the petition of 58 ladies of Carroll
county in relation to the sale of spirituous liquors.

Which was referred to Senators from Carroll, Prince
George's and Howard.
