There is also due the School Commissioners for 1866 and
1867 the sum of $800, as per chapter 128 of 1864. The lat-
ter will be paid at any time upon the draft of said Board.

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day it will
adjourn to meet at 12 o'clock to-morrow, and said hour be
considered the hour of meeting each day of the session,
unless otherwise ordered.

On motion by Mr. Grove,

Leave was granted to withdraw the petition filed with the
Committee on Finance of the citizens of Washington
county, and letters accompanying, with reference to an ap-
propriation to continue Mr. McAtee, a mute, at the Wash-
ington College.

A communication was received from His Excellency, Gov-
ernor Swarm, by the hands of J. M. Carter, Secretary of

The doors were opened, and the Senate resumed the usual
order of business.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a hill entitled an Act to authorize the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot county to copy the
General Index to Land Records in his office from 1833 to
1868.
