On motion by Mr Grove,

Leave was granted and referred to Committee on Corpora-
tions to report a bill to repeal an Act, entitled an Act, to
incorporate a company to construct a turnpike road from
Hagerstown to Cearfoss' cross roads, in Washington county,
passed March, 1860, chapter 298, and re-enact the same with
amendments.

On motion by Mr. Malone,

Leave was granted, and referred to Senators from Wicom-
ico, Worcester and Somerset, to report a bill, regulating the
Terms of the Circuit Court for Wicomico county.
On motion by Mr. Earle,

It was ordered and referred as follows :

Ordered, That so much of the Governor's Message as re-
fers to the condition of the Treasury, be referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

So much as relates to Public Schools, to the Committee on
Education.

So much as relates to the Militia, to the Committee on
Militia.

So much as relates to Immigration, to the Committee on
Labor and Immigration,

So much, as relates to the Department of Labor and Agri-
culture, to Committee on Agriculture.

So much as relates to the oyster products of the Chesapeake
Bay and its tributaries, to Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
its Tributaries.

So much as relates to the Maryland Penitentiary, to the
Committee on Public Buildings.

So much as relates to Internal Improvements, to the Com-
mittee on Internal Improvements.

So much as refers to Negro Suffrage and Negro Equality,
and Territorial Government for Maryland, to Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.

So much as relates to the New Government House, to the
Committee to be hereafter appointed.
On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted, and referred to Messrs. Maddox, Ham-
mond and Hyland, to report a bill to amend Article 71 of
the Code of General Laws, relating to Oysters.
On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted, and referred to Messrs. Parker, of
Worcester, Hyland, Henkle, Lee, Parker, of Calvert, and
Brewer to report a bill to amend the Act of 1867, chapter
290, in relation to Public Roads.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 567, 568, 669
and 570, of the 4th Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the city of Baltimore, and to substitute in
lieu of sections 567, 568 and 569, the following :

Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
