the following
REPORT.
To the Honorable,
The General Assembly of Maryland :
The Committee appointed to select and purchase a site for
and construct a mansion for the use of the Governor of Mary-
land, beg leave to respectfully report that it fully accords
with the Joint Committee on Public Buildings, which on the
30th January reported to the Senate and House of Delegates
that they had examined the several sites offered to them,
and had unanimously determined upon the lots offered by
Mrs. M. E. Green, George E. Franklin and Jas. W. Alien,
Esqs. Your Committee, coinciding in the views of said
Joint Committee, respectfully recommend the selection of
the lots above mentioned as a suitable site for the Governor's
mansion.
THOMAS SWANN, Governor.
JOHN CARROLL WALSH,
FERDINAND C. LATROBE,
THOS. W. HAMMOND,
JOHN S. BROWN.
