ative.

Mr. Mullin, Chairman of a select committee, reported fa-
vorably

A bill entitled an Act to appoint a commission of three per-
sons, to meet a like number of persons appointed by the
State of Virginia, to settle und adjust the boundary line on
the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake bay, between the States
of Virginia and Maryland.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Hammond, Chairman of a select committee, reported

The Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit the sale of in-
toxicating liquors within one-fourth of a mile of the school
house in school district No. 11, in Anne Arundel county,

And asked to be discharged from the further consideration
of the same.

The Committee was discharged.
On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Said bill was then referred to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary.

Also, favorably

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county to contribute $1,000 towards the pur-
chase of the bridge at Elk Ridge Landing,

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-sections 179 and 180,
with section 2 of chapter 66 of January session, 1868, and
re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a third time and rejected by yeas and nays as fol-
lows :
