Which was adopted.

Mr. Chaisty submitted the following amendment:

Miscellaneous.

Line 8, after the word "Agent" insert the words, pro-
vided that he shall discharge the duties of the office to the
satisfaction of the Board of Health in the city of Baltimore.

Which was adopted.
The bill as amended,

Was then read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the bill entitled an
Act for the relief of the suffering people of the South through
the agency of the Ladies Southern Industrial Association,
and Ladies Southern Relief Association of Baltimore city.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 189 of Article 8,
of the Public Local Laws for Cecil county, entitled Sheriff,
and to re-enact the same as follows.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Cecil
county delegation.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Triadelphia
Turnpike Company.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of James S. Mor-
sall, Jr., of Calvert county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.

Also, returned the following bills, severally
Endorsed "Passed "by yeas and nays: "

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the indexing the
Records in the office of Register of Wills for Allegany
county.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Saint Martin's
Inlet and Navigation Company.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Berlin,
in Worcester county.
