1048 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

negro apprentices, and to re-enact the same so as to read as
follows.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Bond, of Calvert, submitted a substitute for the orig-
inal bill.

The substitute was adopted,

And the hill, being the substitute,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal Article 98 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title Wild Fowl, and to enact the fol-
lowing in lieu thereof,

Being upon a second reading.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills,
severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Land
and Permanent Homestead Association of Baltimore county.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Prince George's
County Central Turnpike Company.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 28 and 29 of Arti-
cle 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact
the same with amendments, so as to read as follows.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 76 and 77 of Arti-
cle 35, title Elections, of the Code of Public General Laws,
and to enact a section in lieu thereof, regulating the time of
the election of Representatives in Congress of this State.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the first section of the Act
of January session, 1864, chapter 309, entitled an Act to
add new sections to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Worcester county, for the protection of partridges,
and re-enact the same with amendments.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act incorporating the
Western Maryland Rail Road Company.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Democratic As-
sociation of Baltimore city.

Also, delivered the following bills :
