JOUENAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

It was decided in the affirmative, and the bill was referred.

The bill entitled an Act providing for the appointment of
Inspectors of Lime for the City of Baltimore,

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Poteet (by unanimous consent,) submitted the follow-
ing amendment:

Section 15. And be it enacted, That one of the Inspectors
appointed under this Act shall remain at the lime sheds each
and every day from sunrise to sunset, except on Sundays.

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a third time and re-
jected for want of a constitutional majority, by yeas and nays
as follows :

The vote by which the bill was rejected was reconsidered.
The question then recurring upon the passage of the bill,

Mr. Morse moved that the further consideration thereof be

nesday, the 25th inst.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Thursday, the 26th inst.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Atlantic
