CHAPTER 64.
AN ACT to extend to Worcester county the provisions of the Act of
Assembly, entitled, an Act to declare certain Trespasses Felony, and
for other purposes.

Enactment
and repeal.
|
Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the several provisions of the act of assembly, entitled, an act to
declare certain trespasses felony, and for other purposes, passed
|

at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-six,* be and
the same are hereby extended to Worcester county ; and that
all that part of the third section of the said act which relates to
Worcester county be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 67,
AN ACT respecting Naturalization.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is believed, that the naturalization of aliens
have not in all cases been made in conformity with the laws
enacted upon that subject, whereby the rights to much real
property is rendered insecure, and the interests of bona fide
holders greatly endangered : therefore,

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That every case of naturalization in this state, shall be taken
and received as full and effectual, to all intents and purposes
whatsoever, any defect in the proceedings or record otherwise
to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided, that such naturali-
zation shall not have been obtained by fraud.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all deeds, conveyances,
grants or assurances, for passing any real property to, from, or
by any alien, who has been at the time of passing this act ad-
mitted to naturalization in this state, however defective the
proceedings in obtaining such naturalization, or the record
thereof, may be, are hereby made as valid and effectual, and
available in law, as if said deeds, conveyances, grants or assu-
rances, had been made by regularly naturalized, or native
citizens of this state.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall be the duty
of any county court, or of any judge of any county court, or of
.any justice of the orphans court, to whom application may be
made for the benefit of the insolvent laws of this state, by any
person or persons having resided in this state two years next
preceding the application, immediately thereupon, to appoint a
trustee for the benefit of the creditors of the said applicant or
