For granting and issuing a license to keep a billiard table,

act of November session seventeen hundred and eighty-

 

five, chapter thirty -eight,

For granting on parchment, and registering a certificate of

 

freedom, with the seal of office, under the act of Novem-

 

ber session eighteen hundred and five, chapter sixty-six

 

and the supplement thereto of eighteen hundred and

 

seven, chapter one hundred and sixty-four,

For entering the admission and qualification of an attorney,

 

with certificate under seal, including all oaths taken

 

thereon, to be paid by said attorney,

For making out lists of alienations of land, and transfers

 

of personal property, for the commissioners of the tax,

 

for every ten words or figures thereof, and so pro rata,

For making out list of amerciaments, fines and forfeitures

For collecting, receiving and paying over, to the respective

 

treasurers of the western and eastern shores, conformably

 

to law, all moneys or taxes imposed on marriage licenses,

 

and licenses granted to ordinary keepers, to retailers of

 

spirituous liquors at horse-races, to hawkers or pedlars, to

 

billiard table keepers, and to venders of lottery tickets,

 

and also all moneys for and on account of taxes imposed

 

on plaintiffs in suits or actions at law, there shall here-

 

after be allowed to the respective clerks of the counties,

 

and the clerk of the city court of Baltimore, besides the

 

fees herein before limited, for granting and issuing said

 

licenses, a commission of five per centum on the amount

 

so collected and paid over agreeably to law.

 

For issuing warrants to constables, supervisors, or over-

 

seers of the public roads and highways, and to judges of

 

elections, under seal, for each,

For a warrant, under seal of office, to commissioners to lay

 

out a new or to review an old road, or to the sheriff to

 

summons persons to review and assess damages sus-

 

tained by any person through whose lands a road may
