purposes ; Provided, that the terms of the said contract of
apprenticeship be fully and fairly expressed in the instruments
of writing which may be entered into for that purpose in the
said courts respectively.

CHAPTER 157.

AN ACT relating to Injunctions.

Proviso.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
in case any injunction shall hereafter issue from the chancellor,
or any county court, or one of the judges thereof, to stay pro-
ceedings on any judgment at law, upon which an execution of
capias ad satisfaciendum hath been issued and served by a she-
riff, or other officer, immediately upon the service of such in-
junction on such sheriff, or other officer, he shall discharge the
defendant, and certify the same to the court from which such
execution issued; and the service of such injunction shall
release such sheriff, or other officer, from all further responsibi-
lity; and upon the dissolution of the injunction, the plaintiff
may sue out an execution of fieri facias, or capias ad satisfa-
ciendum, on the judgment at law, as if no execution had before
issued.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in all cases where there are two or more defendants, and
it may be proper to decree that such defendants shall convey the
lands or property in controversy, the chancellor, and the county
courts having equity jurisdiction, may either decree that the
said defendants shall make and execute such conveyance, or
that a person, to be appointed by the chancellor or the said
county courts, as trustee for that purpose, shall make and exe-

cute such conveyance ; Provided, that if the said defendants
or trustee shall neglect or fail to make such conveyance, the
said decree shall, to all intents and purposes, be deemed and
taken as a conveyance of the legal title and estate, in like
manner as if such conveyance had been made as decreed.
