eastern and western shores, the clerks of the court of appeals,
the clerks of the several county courts, the clerk of the citf
court of Baltimore, the register in chancery, and the registers
of wills in the several counties in this state, shall be, and they
are hereby extended to the registers of the land office on the
western and eastern shores.

 

SEC. 2. And be if enacted, That from and after the passage
of this act it shall not be necessary that the bond given by the
register of the land office of the western shore shall be approved
by two judges of the court of appeals, but the same shall be
taken and approved by the chancellor ; and the bond hereafter
to ,be given by the register of the land office for the eastern
shore, shall be taken by the chief judge, or one of the associate
judges of the second judicial district of this state.

CHAPTER 61.

AN ACT to continue to force the Acts of Assembly which would expire
with the present Session.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all such acts, and parts of acts, as would expire with the
present session of assembly, be and the same are hereby con-
tinued to the last Monday of December next, and to the end of
the then session of assembly.

CHAPTER 67.
An ACT to regulate and restrain the Sale of Lottery Tickets within this
State.
Other laws are, 1826, ch. 251, 268 ; 1827, ch. 160 ; 1828, ch. 129 ; 1829,
ch. 188; 1831, ch. 79; 1835, ch. 205.

SEC. 1. The prohibition to sell lottery tickets, in lotteries not authorized
by the laws of this state, was removed by 1831, ch. 79, which authorizes
the lottery commissioners to grant licenses to vend tickets, in foreign and
domestic lotteries.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That all such part or parts
of any act or acts as shall be inconsistent with any of the pro-
visions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed ; Pro-
vided, that such repeal shall not affect any legal rights, in rela-
tion to lotteries authorized by this state, acquired by those who
have obtained licenses under the said act hereby repealed, nor
effect any prosecution commenced, or which may bo com-
menced, for any violation of the laws relating to lotteries,
authorized before the passage of this law.
