SEC. 9. And be it enacted. That the commissioners elected
or appointed as aforesaid, and their successors, shall be, and
they are hereby constituted a body politic and corporate, by the

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That when, and as soon as the
commissioners to be elected or appointed as aforesaid, shall
have taken and subscribed the oath or affirmation herein before
described, all the powers, rights and privileges lawfully exer-
cised by, and all property, estate and effects vested in the
justices of the levy court of Worcester county, shall be trans-
ferred to, and vested in the commissioners for Worcester coun-

powers, rights and privileges, and shall perform all the duties
required to be performed by the said justices of the levy court
for Worcester county, and no appointment of justices of the
levy court for Worcester county shall thereafter be made, and
all the powers lawfully exercised by, or vested in the commis-
sioners of the tax for Worcester county, and all the duties re-
quired by law to be performed by them, shall be vested in and
exercised and performed by the said commissioners for Wor-
cester county, after they shall have become qualified as afore-
said.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said county commis-
sioners shall take such appeals, and note such transfers as the
commissioners of the tax are now required to take and note,

last day of the same month, and for the purpose of taking such
appeals and noting such transfers, shall meet every day during
the first week of the spring term of the county court, and shall

each election district, ten days before the commencement of
said term, of the meetings to be held for that purpose; and
also that the said county commissioners, at their said meet-
ings, shall, in their own discretion, transact any other business
which, as county commissioners, they may of right do under
this act.
