AN ACT relating to the owners and occupants of Shad and Herring Fishe-
ries on the Potomac River. — 1825, ch. 110.

 

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall be the duty
of the clerk of Prince George's county court, and lie is hereby
directed, upon application being made, to grant to any ownet
or occupant of any shad or herring fishery on the Potomac
river, within the limits of Prince George's county, a license
to sell spirituous liquors, and other articles during the fishing
season ; provided the owner or occupant of such fisheries shall
be engaged in catching shad and herrings for sale.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said clerk shall charge
and receive for such licenses, the sum of six dollars, and such
licenses to be granted in the same manner and upon the same
conditions as are now prescribed by law.

Assembly therein mentioned. — 1794, ch, 52.

AN ACT relative to the Public Roads in Prince George's County. — 1826,
ch.9.

WHEREAS, there are no records of the public roads in
Prince George's county, from which supervisors' warrants can
be correctly made out; therefore,.

Preamble.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Prince George's county,
be and they are hereby authorized, to issue a commission to
six men of integrity, good judgment and understanding, one
of whom shall be selected from the residents of each of the
election districts of said county, whose duty it shall be to
ascertain, by the best evidence that can be obtained, all the
roads that have been used as public roads in said county, or
deemed or represented as such since the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and seventy-eight, and make a de-
scription and designation of them, by which they may forever
hereafter be distinguished and known.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the public roads within the
limits of each election district in said county, shall be denomi-
nated district roads number —— , in district number ——— .

appointed in pursuance of this act, shall define and designate
the bounds of the several district roads, and all such roads as
they shall ascertain to be public roads, lying within each elec-
tion district, to be described in a plain and intelligible manner,
and each district to be numbered as aforesaid and all forked
