LEVY COURT.

AN ACT to authorize the Levy Court of Prince George's County to levy
a sum of money to supply the Clerks' and Register's Office, in said
County with Fuel.— 1834, ch. 322.

 

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Prince George's county be, and the said
court is hereby authorized and empowered to levy on the
assessable property in said county, a sufficient sum of money
to supply the clerk's and register's offices, in said county,
with fuel.

AN ACT to change the times of holding the Levy Court of Prince George's
County, for the purpose of hearing Appeals and making Transfers, and
for other purposes. — 1836, ch. 161.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That after the year eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, the
levy court of Prince George's county shall meet on the first
Monday in April in each and every year, for the purpose of
hearing appeals and making transfers of property, and shall
continue in session for twelve days successively, exclusive of
Sundays.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the passage
of this act, the levy court of said county be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to hear and determine the
complaint and appeals of any person or persons, who may
think themselves aggrieved by the assessment and valuation
of the real and personal property of said county, under and by
virtue of the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-two, chapter
two hundred and fifty-seven, entitled, an act for the re-assess-
ment and re-valuation of the real and personal property in
Prince George's county, and if any person or persons shall
apprehend themselves injured by said valuation and assess-
ment of his, her or their property, and shall thereof complain
to the said levy court, they shall, at the time of their sitting to

or affirmation touching the particulars and value of said pro-
perty, and upon due examination or knowledge thereof, abate
or increase the said valuation, and shall cause their clerk to
