HARFORD COUNTY.

This act to
bo pub-
lished.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the levy court of said county
shall cause this act to be published in the Bond of Union, a
newspaper published in Bel- Air, at least once a week for six
successive weeks, immediately preceding the election to be
held for delegates on the first Monday in October next.

AN ACT for the further compensation of Jurors in Harford County. — 1818,
ch. 121.

Additional
allowance
to jurymen.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That each and every juror hereafter to be summoned on the
regular panel of jurors to Ilarford county court, shall in addi-
tion to the per diem allowed him by law, be entitled to an
allowance of three cents for every mile that his place of resi-
dence shall be distant from the place of holding the county
court, to be allowed him in going to, and returning from the
court, and to be levied, collected and paid, in the same manner

and at the same time, with his per diem allowance ; Provided,
that the said itinerant charges shall be allowed to each of the
said jurors only for once coming to and once returning home
from said court.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
sheriff summoning such jurors, to note upon the list of the
same, before he returns it to the clerk of the county court, the
distance each juror summoned resides from the place of holding
the county court, and of the said clerk to return a copy of
such list of jurors, with the distance of their respective places
of residence, to the levy court of Harford county, to enable
them to make the levy aforesaid.

AN ACT Supplementary to the Act, entitled, an Act for the further
compensation of Jurors in Harford County. — 1819, ch. 139.

Mileage
allowed.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the mileage allowed to jurors by the act to which this is a
supplement, shall be for coining to, and returning from court,
on each day such juror may attend the court.

SEC. 2. Retrospective.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of Jurors in Ilarford County. — 1826,
ch. 103.

SEC. 1 Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Harford county be, and they are hereby
authorized and required, to levy on the assessable property of
said county, at the usual time of making the county levy, in the
