nager of the farm, and the entire establishment after the house
is completed, and with such an allowance as the levy court
may think reasonable, any law heretofore passed on that sub-
ject to the contrary thereof notwithstanding.

 

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the levy court may allow to
the trustees of the poor, and to their clerk, such an allowance
for their services and attendance at the poor's-house in the
discharge of their duties, as they deem right, not exceeding
two dollars each per day.

RELIGIOUS DENOMINATIONS.
AN ACT for the relief of the several Religious Denominations of Frederick
County —1838, ch. 265.

Allowance
to trustees.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the several parsonage-houses of religious denomination*, in
Frederick county, shall heteafter be exceptcd from assessment
for county and corporartion taxes.

AN ACT to promote Education in Frederick. — 1827, ch. 45.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the corporate authorities of Frederick be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered in their discretion, to levy
annually upon the assessable property of said town, such sum of
money, as they may deem sufficient to carry into effect, the ob-
jects of this bill, as herein after specified ; Provided, that no
levy under this act shall exceed, in any one year, the sum of
three cents on every hundred dollars worth of the real and
personal property in said town, according to the assessment of
said property heretofore made by order of the corporation of
Frederick ; said tax to be collected and paid to the register of
Frederick, as other moneys are now collected and paid.
