SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said warden shall ac-
count with the visitors for All sums of money which he may
collect as jail fees for prisoners confined in the jail, or from any
other source connected with the institution.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That the said visitors tnay at
their will and pleasure remove said warden from office, and

appoint another in his stead, and that they shall allow such
compensation to said warden and his assistants, as they may
think reasonable and proper.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the said visitors shall keep
regular books of accounts, in which the whole expenses of the
jail, whether for supplies, salaries of officers, repairs or: inciden-
tals, shall be distinctly stated, as also all the receipts and ex-
penditures upon the different dockets, in such a rnanner, as that
these accounts may shew what is chargeable to 13 aid more county,
and what chargeable to Baltimore city.

SEC. 14. And be it enacted. That all expenses attending the
repairs, alterations and improvements of the jail, and of the pro-
perty appertaining thereto, shall be paid for in equal proportions,
by Baltimore county and Baltimore city ; and all other neces-
sary expenses incurred by the said visitors, shall be paid by
Baltimore county and Baltimore city, in the proportions properly
chargeable to the said county and city respectively, having re-
gard to the number of prisoners and the expense of keeping
the same, which shall have been sent from the County and from
the city.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the said visitots shall an-
nually make out a full and fair account of all the public money
by them received from the commissioners of Baltimore county,
and from any other sources for the use of Baltimore county,
and the manner in which it has been expended; which shall
be exhibited to said commissioners, together with an estimate
of what will be necessary for the following year, the amount of

which estimate shall be assessed and levied by the said county
commissioners, and collected as other county charges, and paid
to the said visitors for the use of said prison.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the said visitors shall an-
nually make out a full statement of all the public money re-
ceived by them from the register of the city of Baltimore, or
from any other source for the use of the city of Baltimore, and
the manner in which it has been expended ; which statement
shall be laid before the mayor and city council of Baltimore,
together with an estimate of what will be necessary for the fol-
lowing year, the amount of which estimate shall be levied on
the property in the city of Baltimore, and paid to the visitors
of the jail.
SEC. 17, 18. Related to expenses already incurred.
