SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of each
|
attendance

assistant inspector of flour, promptly to obey any notice he may
|

receive of his presence being required 111 any place or places in
|
|
the inspection district of the said city to which he shall belong
|
|
for the tune being; and should such inspector refuse or neglect
|
|
to obey such notice for a longer time than two hours, after it
|

has been given, he shall forfeit and pay the sum of three dollars.

Duty of

SEC. 8. And be it enacted That the general inspector afoie

said, shall diligently superintend the assistant inspectors, at the
|

places where they shall be employed in the discharge of then

official duties, and by a frequent comparison of the flour which
|
|
they shall inspect, with the standaid to be fixed as aforesaid,
|
|
shall ascertain whether they, and each of thorn regulate the in
|
|
spection confounably to said standard; and the said geneial
|
|
inspector, shall annually, on the thirtieth day of November,

lished standard of inspection, and their diligence in performing
|
|
their official duties, in their respective districts.

SEC, 9. And be it enacted, That if the general inspector afoie

said, shall upon a careful and impartial examination of the sub
|
assistant
inspectors

ject, be satisfied, that either of the said assistant inspectors, shall
|
|
at any time of service of said general inspector, wilfully or from
|
|
ignorance, put upon any cask of flour, a brand designating a
|
|
higher or inferior degree of fineness, than according to the true
|
|
quality of such flour ought to be put thereon, then and in such
|
|
case, the said general inspector is hereby authorized and re
|
|
quired to suspend the said assistant inspector frorn his office,
|
|
until the next meeting of the governor and council, before
|

whom, and at such meeting the said general inspector shall lay
|
the same

a statement in writing of the grounds of such suspension, with
|
|
an affidavit of the truth thereof; and the governor and council
|
|
are hereby empowered to continue such suspension or re instate
|
|
the assistant inspector, as the circumstances of the case may in
|
|
their judgment require.

SEC. 10 And be it enacted, That the drawings which the
