THE PRECEDING LAW.

 

The undersigned appointed by the mayor, commissioners

 

under the third section of the act of the general assembly,

 

passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-six,

 

to fix and determine the rates of fare, hire or compensation for

 

the use of hackney carriages within the city of Baltimore, for

 

transportation of passengers and baggage, and of either, having

 

taken the oath prescribed by said act, a certificate whereof is

 

hereto annexed, proceeded to the discharge of the duty required

 
   

It has been thought useful to separate the different kinds of

 

hackney coaching, and fix a rate of fare for each, instead of
