SEC. 17. And be U enacted. That if any person shall be
|
molesting a
voter.

guilty of any attempt to obstruct any legal voter or voters,
|
|
within the city of Baltimore, in the peaceful exercise of his or
|
|
their right of suffrage, or shall create any noise or disturbance
|
|
at the place of holding the registry or election, or in the neigh-
|
|
bourhood thereof, with an intent to interfere with the said
|

SEC. 18. And be it enacted^ That all the expenses incurred

under this act, shall be paid by the corporation of the city of
|
|
Baltimore, and the money necessary for that purpose raised as
|
|
the other expenses of holding elections in said city, by taxation
|
|
or otherwise.
|
Special
|
SEC. 19. And be it enacted. That in case of special elections
|
ward
elections.
|
for members of the city council, it shall only be necessary for
|
|
the registers of the ward in which said special election is to
|
|
be held, to meet, as provided by this act, for correcting their
|
|
registry.

Judges of
|
SEC. 20. And be it enacted, That the registers of voters and
|
elections
empowered
|
the judges of election, during the time that they are actually
|
as justices
|
engaged in the discharge of the duties of their respective offices,
|
of peace.

shall have all the powers of a justice of the peace of said city of

Baltimore, and that their warrants and commands shall be
|
|
observed by all the officers of the state of Maryland, and the
