Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the mayor and city council of Baltimore, be, and they are
|
|
hereby authorized and empowered, in addition to any power of
|
|
taxation heretofore vested in them, to levy upon the assessable
|
|
property within the limits of the city of Baltimore, and collect
|
|
by tax according to the usual mode of raising money by taxa-
|
|
tion, in the said city of Baltimore, any sum or sums which may
|
|
be necessary to pay and discharge the principal and inteiest of
