NOTE.— The 4th sec. of this act transfers to the County Commissioners,

 

the authorities exercised by the Commissioners of the Tax. Their duties

 

are principally to be found in the act of 1812, ch. 191, entitled, 'an Act for

 

the valuation of real and personal property in the several counties of this

 

state.1 Allegany and Anne Arundel counties have since then had a re-

 

valuation of property. By 1817, ch. 142, a new assessment of property in

 

Baltimore county was provided for, and that assessment was to be made in

 

the manner prescribed by 1812, ch. 191,— the act of 1812, ch. 191, will be

 

therefore distributed to 'Baltimore County,' — which see.

missioners for Allegany County, and prescribing their powers and

 

duties, passed December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine,

 

chapter twenty-five.— 1831, ch. 72.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assembly, that the
