AN ACT to repeal the several Acts of Assembly respecting the Herding

of Cattle in Allegany County. — 1820, ch. 91.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
|

the act passed at December session eighteen hundred and
|
repealed.
|
twelve, entitled, an act to prevent trespasses in AHegany county,
|
|
chapter fifty-seven, the act passed at December session eighteen
|
|
hundred and sixteen, entitled, a supplement to the act, entitled,
|
|
an act to prevent trespasses in Allegany county, chapter two
|
|
hundred and fifteen, and the act passed at December session
|
|
eighteen hundred and nineteen, entitled, an act respecting the
|
|
herding of cattle in Allegany county, chapter one hundred and
|
|
sixteen, be and they are hereby repealed.

CONSTABLES.
|

AN ACT to authorize two Justices of the Peace, to Judge and Approve of
|
|
the security in cases therein mentioned. — 1824, ch. 63.
|
|
SEC. 1. Be it enacted ', by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|

That any two justices of the peace, in and for AHegany county,

be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to judge and
|
|
approve of the securities in constables' and supervisors' bonds,
|
|
in the same manner as the levy court of said county are now-
|
|
authorized and empowered to do, during the recess of the said
|
|
levy court, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That each justice of the peace
|

shall have, for every bond by him so approved, twenty-five

cents, to be paid by the party presenting such bond.

AN ACT to regulate Constables' Fees, in AHegany County. — 1835, ch. 30.
|
|
WHEREAS, some sections of the county are very remote from
|

the jail, thereby subjecting the constables to a great incon-

venience, and the compensation not adeqtiate to the labour
|
|
performed in the delivery over to the jailor of persons com-
|
|
mitted ; therefore,

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|

That from and after the passage of this act, all constables in

Allegany county shall be entitled to receive, in addition to the

fifty cents now allowed, six and a quarter cents per mile for
|

every mile they have to travel, after the first four miles, in
|

delivering over to the jailor of AHegany county, any person on
|
|
commitment.

|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That whenever any constable
|

quired to summon a constable, if there be one convenient, and
