A SUPPLEMENT to an ACT, entitled, a further additional Supplement to an
Act,* entitled, an Act for Quieting Possessions, Enrolling Conveyances,
and securing the Estates of Purchasers.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the act of December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-four,
chapter eighty, shall be extended to all deeds or instruments of
writing contemplated by said act, executed in any of the states
or territories of the United States, for property lying within this
state, as fully as if the same had been taken, executed and

acknowledged within this state ; Provided always, that this
act shall not be construed to affect any deed or instrument of
writing executed since the tenth of February, eighteen hundred
and thirty-five; And provided also, that in all other respects
the said deeds or instruments of writing have been executed,
acknowledged and recorded in conformity with the laws relat-
ing to the subject at that time in force in this state.

 

CHAPTER 212.

AN ACT relating to Constables' Fees.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, all constables shall be
entitled to receive, in addition to the fifty cents now allowed,
five cents per mile for every mile they may have to travel after

CHAPTER 213.
AN ACT to repeal part of an Act, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-four, chapter two hundred and fifty-one, and sup-
plementary thereto.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the fifty-third section of an act of the general assembly of
Maryland, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-four, chapter two hundred and fifty-one, entitled, an act
to enrol, organize, equip and regulate the militia of this state,
be, and the same is hereby repealed.

Uniform
prescribed.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the uniform for general officers,
their aids-de-camp, and brigade inspectors, field, company and
staff officers of the militia of this state, shall be the same with
the uniform of the officers of the same grade in the correspond-
ing arms of the United States army, excepting that the letters
M. M. shall be used wherever the letters U. S. are used by the
officers of the United States army, and inasmuch as there is no
rifle arm belonging to the said United States army, to afford a
pattern uniform for that arm, the majority of the officers of each
