shall have been first authorized and directed by the orphans
court of the county where the case may arise or accrue*

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That if any person, or the guar-
dian of any person, may conceive him or herself aggrieved by
the decision of any orphans court under the provisions of this
act, he or she may appeal to the county coutt, and a transcript
of the proceedings shall be sent to the said county court, who
shall hear and examine the Same, and give such judgment m
the matter, as may be according to right and equity.
CHAPTER 113.
AN ACT prescribing the duties of the several Armourers of this State, and
relating to the Public Arms.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, each of the ar-
mourers of this state shall, before he proceeds to the execution
of the trust reposed in him, take the following oath, or affirma-
tion, before some person authorized to administer the same : I,
———— , do swear, or affirm, (as the case may be,) that I will be
true and faithful to the state of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That each of the armourers, be-
fore he proceeds to the execution of his duties, shall give bond
conditioned for the faithful discharge of his duties, to the state
of Maryland, with security to be approved of by the governor
and council, with the following penalties, viz : The armourer
at Annapolis in the penalty of five thousand dollars, the ar-
mourer at Easton in the penalty of two thousand dollars, and
the armourer at Frederick in the penalty of one thousand
dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of each
of the armourers of this state, to report annually to the adjutant-
general, on or before the first day of October, the Actual state of
the armoury under his control, designating in such report the
number of arms and accoutrements, and particularizing the
fitness or unfitness of any portion of them for public service;
and also the quantity of the different materials of War, with the
quality of the same.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
armoured at the city of Annapolis, whenever arms, accoutre-
ments or munitions, are placed in his hands, to give informa-
tion thereof to the adjutant-general, whose duty it shall be to
see the same deposited in the armoury, and keep a record of the
same, and report to the governor and council the number and
quality of each description received.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the armourer at the city of
Annapolis shall, whenever called upon by the adjutant-general,
