CONSTITUTIONAL REVISION STUDY DOCUMENTS

Proposed by Act of 1809, chapter 198.
Ratified 1810.
All such parts of the constitution and
form of government as require a prop-
erty qualification in persons to be ap-
pointed or holding offices of profit or
trust in this State, and in persons elected
members of the legislature or electors of
the senate, shall be and the same are
hereby repealed and abolished.

Proposed by Act of 1811, chapter 211.
Ratified 1812. Sec. 1. The time of the meeting of the
General Assembly shall be on the first
monday in December in each year, in-
stead of the first monday in November,
as is now prescribed by the Constitution
and form of Government. Sec. 2. The Governor of this state,
shall be chosen on the second monday
of December in each and every year in
the same manner as is now prescribed
by the Constitution and form of Govern-
ment; and the Council to the Governor
shall be elected on the first tuesday after
the second monday of December in each
and every year, in the same manner as
is now provided by the Constitution and
form of Government. Sec. 3. AH annual appointments of
civil officers in this state shall be made
in the third week of December in every
year in the same manner as the Consti-
tution and form of Government now
directs.
1817
Proposed by Act of 1816, chapter 26.
Ratified 1817. Sec. 1. All that part of the Constitu-
tion, and form of government, made
such by the act of Seventeen hundred
and ninety Eight which directs that
Prince George's County should be

divided and laid off into five Separate
districts be, and the same is hereby
repealed. Sec. 2. Prince George's County should
be divided into Six Separate districts
and that the additional district shall be
laid off adjoining and inbetween the
second, third and fifth districts.
Proposed by Act of 1816, chapter 32.
Ratified 1817.
Allegany County for the purpose of
holding all future elections in the said
county shall be divided and laid off into
eight separate election districts.
Proposed by Act of 1816, chapter 35.
Ratified 1817.
Dorchester County for the purpose of
holding all future elections for Dele-
gates, Electors of Senate and Sheriffs of
the foresaid County shall he divided and
laid off into five separate districts.
Proposed by Act of 1816, chapter 247.
Ratified 1817. Sec. 1. All and every part of the
Constitution and form of Government
of this State, which relates to the Attor-
ney General be and the same is hereby
abrogated, annulled, and made void. Sec. 2. The duties and services now
provided by law to be done and per-
formed by the Attorney General, shall
be done and performed 'by such persons
and in such manner as the General
Assembly of Maryland shall hereafter
direct.
Proposed by Act of 1816, chapter 252.
Ratified 1817.
From and after the Passage of this
act the Polls for the second Election dis-
trict of Anne Arundel County shall be
held at the house of Jacob Waters near
the Blacksmith shop on the main road
leading from the City of Annapolis to
the City of Washington.
