828 EXECUTIVE PROCEEDINGS

On motion by Mr. Waters,

The Senate resumed the consideration of the Legislative
business.

FRIDAY, February 15, 1867.

The following communication, which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Swann, was read:

STATE OF MARYLAND,

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, February 15, 1867.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

With the consent of your Honorable Body, I desire to with-
draw the nomination of Henry Covington, of Queen Anne's
county, for Inspector of Grain in Baltimore city, which was
submitted for your advice and consent on the 5th instant, and
to substitute in lieu thereof the name of Robert Talbot, of the
same county.

I also nominate for your advice and consent Robert Bowie,
of Walter, for Justice of the Peace 7th Election District of
Prince George's county, vice R. V. Page, resigned.

THOS. SWANN.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,

The Senate advised and consented to the nomination of
Robert Bowie, of Walter, as Justice of the Peace.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,

The Senate advised and consented to the nomination of
Thomas McCrea as Justice of the Peace.

On motion by Mr. Tome,

The Senate resumed the consideration of the Legislative
business.
