STATE OF MARYLAND,

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, January 31, 1867.
To THE SENATE,
Gentlemen:

I hereby nominate for your advice and consent, William
Bryan, of Anne Arundel county, for Sheriff of said county,
to fill the vacancy occasioned by his failure to renew his bond
as required by section 4, Article 88, Code of Public General
Laws.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

The Senate advised and consented to the foregoing nomina-
tion.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,

The Senate resumed the consideration of the Legislative
business.

TUESDAY, February 5, 1867.

The following communication, which had been received from
His Excellency, Governor Swann, was read:

ty; Robert Sellman, Montgomery county.

Inspector of Tobacco at Warehouse No. 1—James T. Per-
kins, Prince George's.
