Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing to adjourn this
General Assembly sine die to-day at 12 o'clock M., and con-
cur therein.

Which was read.

Mr. Bowie submitted the following order:

Ordered, by the Senate, that the Committee on Claims pay
C. J. Fox, Reporter of the Associated Press of Baltimore
$250 for reporting the proceedings of the Senate the present
session.

Which was read and adopted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the follow
ing bills:

A bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act incorporating the
Washington University of Baltimore, and to establish an
Hospital, to be styled, "the Maryland Free Hospital," in
said city.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act for the relief of St. Mary's Female
Seminary.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal article 71 of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled,
"Oysters," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of January session,
1864, chapter 282, entitled, an Act to add the following sec-
tion to the 4th article of Public General Laws requiring
jurors to take the oath of allegiance.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to limit the amount of stationery
furnished to the members and officers of the General Assem-
bly, and to provide a system of commutation.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to pay James Hopkins & Son for
cleansing and restoring portraits of some of the early Gov-
ernors of Maryland.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Trail submitted the following :

Resolved, That the thanks of the Senate are due and are
