On motion of Mr. Vickers,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Vickers, Mackall, Maddox,
Tome, and Davis of Washington, to report a bill to repeal an
Act relating to the Registration of the Voters of the State,
passed at January Session, 1865, and to enact a Registration
Law for the voters of the State.

On motion of Mr. Stephenson, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
hereafter to be appointed, inquire into the propriety of exer-
cising at the present session of the General Assembly the
power conferred upon it by the Constitution, of restoring to
the full rights of citizenship all persons who are by section 4
of Article one of the Constitution of this State, and the Reg-
istry Law, passed March 24th, 1865, deprived of the right of
voting, and of holding any office of honor, profit or trust under
the laws of the State; and that said committee have leave to
report by bill or otherwise.

On motion of Mr. Tome, it was

Ordered, That the Secretary of the Senate furnish each
member with eight extra copies of the Journal.

Mr. Tome submitted the following:

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns, to-day, it stands
adjourned till Monday next, at 12 o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Bowie,

The words "to-day" were stricken out, and the words "on
Friday" inserted in lieu thereof.

Mr. Compton moved a call of the Senate.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their attendance was required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion of Mr. Compton,
All further proceedings under the call were suspended.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the order as
amended,

It was determined in the affirmative by the following vote,
the yeas and nays being required by Mr. Stephenson:
