The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal sub-sections 179 and 180, with section 2,
of chapter 66, of January Session 1866, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Mr. Jump, submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, 8th line, after the word "his," insert the words
"or her," at the end of same line insert after "his," the words
"or her," at the end of 9th line, insert after "his," the words
"or her," 12th line, insert after the word "his," the words
"or her."

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Bowie, submitted the follwing amendment:

Strike out the words "of absolute necessity," in the 7th
line of 1st section, and insert "where prescribed by a Physi-
cian in good standing;"

Which was read and adopted.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,

Said bill was referred to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings.

On motion of Mr. Henkle,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11
o'clock, M.

TUESDAY, January 22, 1867.

Mr. Earle presented the sixteenth Annual Report of the
Managers of the House of Refuge, with accompanying docu-
ments;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Mules presented the memorial of 28 residents of Balti-
more in opposition to the repeal of the Sunday Law and runn-
ing the Cars on said day ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.
