Ordered, that it be entered upon the Journal that the Sen-
ator from Washington county would have voted against the
bill authorizing the running of the cars on Sunday in the
city of Baltimore, had he not been unavoidably absent from
his seat when the question was taken.

The bill entitled, an Act to authorize and require the
County Commissioners of Allegany county to levy an addi-
tional school tax, as provided for in section 5 of the 8th Article
of the Constitution of the State;

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follow:
