Mr. Davis, of Caroline, submitted the following amend-
ment:

In section 10, line 31, after the word "salary," strike out
"two thousand," and insert "one thousand."

Mr. Tome moved a call of the Senate,
The Sergeat-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Senators
that their attendance was required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,

Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
Mr. Tome moved that said bill be postponed indefinitely.
