General, a Judge Advocate General, a Paymaster General,
a Quartermaster General, a Surgeon General, and a Com-
missary General, who shall rank as Brigadier General; each
of whom shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, and shall hold, their respec-
tive offices dnring the pleasure of the Governor;"
