the Laws, and to appropriate a sum of money for that pur-
pose, was

On motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Referred to the Committee on Finance.
The bill entitled, and Act to regulate and fix the compen-
sation to be paid for publishing the Laws and proclamations.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading;

The bill entitled, an Act to add an additional section to
article 29 of the Code of Public General Laws in relation to
courts was.

On motion by Mr. Trail,
Ordered to lie over.

The bill entitled, an Act for the better security of the
rights and privileges of the owners of land on the waters of
Queen Anne's and Kent counties;

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 25 of article 38
ot the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fees of Officers,"
sub title Notaries Public," and to re-enact the same with
amendments;

On motion by Mr. Trail,
Was ordered to lie over.

The bill entitled, an Act for the relief of St. Mary's Female
Seminary;

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Was read the third time by special order, three-fourths con-
curring, and passed by yeas and nays as follow :
