Mr. Barle submitted the following message :
SENATE, Mar. 16th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We have received the message of your Honorable Body,
proposing that the Committee on Federal Relations of the
Senate, and of your Honorble Body, constitute a joint com-
mittee on that subject, and respectfully concur therein.

Which was read, assented to, and sent the House of Dele-
gates.
Mr. Compton submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Senate adjourn at 1 o'clock to-day, and
stand adjourned until Monday, 11 o'clock, A. M.
Mr. Earle moved to strike out "one," and insert "3
o'clock;"

On motion by Mr. Earle,
Three-fourths concurring;
Leave was granted to Messrs. Earle, Vickers and Jump, to
bring in a bill to be entitled, an Act to authorize the county com-
missioners of Queen Anne's county, to levy a local tax to aid in
the support of the public schools.
Mr. Stephenson from the Committee on Agriculture, to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate the
sum of twenty-five hundred dollars or so much thereof, as may
be necessary to the rebuilding of the Hay Scales, and the
building connected with the same, owned by the State, and
situated in the eastern section of the city of Baltimore, near
the intersection of O'Donnell street with the western line of
Baltimore county, to repair or re-supply the scales and adapt
them to the weighing of live stock, as well as hay and straw,
and to provide such yards for live stock as may be necessary,
Reported it with the following amendments:
